Finding the righ product is 90% of your work for your business to be successful.

Many experts will tell you to find a product you believe in and something you can sell before you start a home based business. However, what they don't tell you is will people what to buy what you are selling and how long will they keep on buying if they start buying.
People don't buy things because they need it or even want it, but mainly because of how it appeals to them emotionally. people are emotional buyers and that's the most important thing for us to know and remember in this business. Does it make them feel more confident, or will others admire them because of your product. Emotion Emotion Emotion. We should not try and sell what we have but let people come to us for what they already desire. I will give you an assignment to prove to you what I am saying.
Go to twenty people, friends or strangers and ask them if they had all the money they need and the free time to go with it, what would they do more of? and more likely 20 out of 20 will say travel more. You will always have friends and family traveling and you don't need to try and sell them a cheaper plane ticket or car rental or vacation package. If they can travel better for less with you they will buy from you. Remember they are going to travel and you are going to travel. The next question is who will they travel with? What do you think they would say if you tell them they can travel for free and make a lot of money at the same time. I hope after you do your test in asking the question to 20 people you will understand what i mean by having the right product and ninety pescent of the work is done. If the product you have does not have much emotional appeal to it then you need to find a way to let your product appeal to the emotion.

Here's what it is: When you're picking a business or starting one from scratch, you want to start by looking at your passions, your hobbies, etc..Something you already have an interest in.

The second important part is finding a hungry market that wants a solution to that problem that they're willing to pay for.

The solution is your produt. Whether you go with a network marketing company that has it all ready for you or whether you create your own product.

Every niche has it's own set of "hot buttons". As a marketer, you need to find out what it is they want.

There isn't a one product fit all. Traveling is great, but going after people who already travel is going to turn better results than trying to mass market traveling to everyone as in your given example.

Anyway, people buy with emotions and justify with logic.

If you know your niche inside and out, then you know what buttons to push (that sounds kind of terrible) in order to get a response from them.

It's all mass psychology and once you understand human behavior, you can write your own check.

I have a product with lots of emotional appeal- online on demand self-publishing. I fell in love with this product immediately, as I have lots of stories to tell, both travel and personal. It's easy to sell this product to a customer, as they, too, have stories to tell about their families, their travels, their lives. They want to create books. Computer illiterate beg their literate grandchildren to tell their stories. So I just need to get myself in front of an audience to sell a book.

However, Corrisa's "logic" comes into my business at the recruitment end... It takes time to work my particular business into a profit. The company put their energy into creating sales people who are in it for the long haul. This means I cannot logically convince someone who wants quick cash to get involved. Mostly my customers become consultants so they can get a discount on their purchases.

I have been a bit disconcerted, lately, considering this. So, while emotion brought me in, the reality of building my business has taken some reorganization and reevaluation. I need to find people who are willing to give the business time to grow or simply focus on building a client base, I guess.

Its good to here from you and to hear that you have a product that you fell in love with. There however seem to be a few challenges you are facing to get your team to grow. You have to ask yourself the critical question how long you are willing to wait for success. Make sure you are not in a company that you have to be lauling in the lang hall. A lot of company dont really train you in the field of network marketting they only train you in how to sell their products. That is why I paid my money to virtual profit academy. I didnt sign up to build a team in it but to get education. This academy really opened my eyes in the field of network market. If you like I could lend you my password to my account so you can get some unbiased training that is not product of company centered but train you in the industry to be successful in any business you join. Thank you for your concern! I do need to learn about hbb development and I am trying to do so online, but it gets a bit overwhelming. I've been at it for about four months, maybe, and I constantly get inundated with offers from folk that I have not figured out how to analyze as yet. Anyone have any suggestions, or is this virtual profit academy highly recommended by others? There seem to be books and videos and teachers ready and willing to help me. Perhaps it takes plunging in. I want to make the most of my time, as it is limited. Right now I hope to work with Kev on creating a website...

I have been looking at my business very objectively and realize that, even if it takes me awhile to grow, this is where I want to be. I committed three years towards development of my company and I am ten months into it. My company has constant webinars and regional, national gatherings to educate us on the product and help us move our business forward. In fact, now that I have achieved Star level, I was invited by our President Doug Cloward to attend an intimate conference at his log cabin along with eleven other new Star level consultants. So, I feel good about this end and about committing for the long haul. I figure if, at the end of three years, I move on... well, I will have created plenty of memorabilia for my family and friends to cherish and pass to their kids, which is a legacy of its own.

Malika, thanks for the endorsement of Kev's product. I am about ready to go there. My kids will all be gone for six weeks beginning the end of June and I will dedicate the beginning of that period to website creation. Right now I am trying to get the most out of having them home- being there when they allow me "in"!

I'm in the midst of preparations for a big conference event coming up June 18-21 and hope to have many of my team present to market our books to writers who love journaling. Targeting your market to those most interested is what marketing is all about and I believe this is a great venue for my team to get the word out on our product line!
