Can You Build A Network Marketing Business On Autopilot?

Maybe you have seen the ads....... have hordes of hungry prospects come to you with credit card in hand waiting to sign up..... or enroll new reps into your business without picking up the phone. Often ads like this are for an internet marketing system where you set up lead capture pages etc so people can automatically sign up in your business without you even talking to them first.

Does this sort of thing really happen? Well, yes.... I've had people join my network marketing business without me talking to them first, so that would be "on autopilot"....but it's quite misleading to suggest a large business can be built this way. Network marketing is still about building relationships, and especially if you are building your MLM on the internet, people want to be sure you are someone they like and trust and most importantly.... can help them build a successful organization themselves.

This is one reason why it takes time to build your business if you are doing it online. People will sometimes watch to your videos, or read your blog posts, or follow you on Twitter.... just to name a few examples.... for some time before they actually subscribe to your newsletter or contact you personally. Other times they may watch one video, read and article you wrote and join right away. The point is.... trust must be established.

So you can build your business on the internet, but you still need the skills of talking to people on the phone, sharing your story with others, and especially position yourself as a leader who can help them get started and how to run a successful business.

If you think you can build a large network marketing business without calling or emailing anyone personally, then MLM probably isn't for you. Many times a prospect will call you first. However, you also can give them a call yourself, or send them a personal email just to let them know you are a real, live person who is there to help them.... not to push your business. When you truly care about your prospect they will tell you what it is they are looking for. People don't want to be sold, but they do want to know you are genuine and want to help.
