Do You Practice What You Preach?
Hey Forum,
Hope you're all having an amazing week so far...
Having observing a LOT of stuff on the Internet, I want to give you the low down on what I think it really takes to gain true credibility and authority in home business.
Trust me, there is NOTHING WRONG with being a 'Guru'. In fact, I hope that a lot of you are aspiring to be a 'Guru' because THAT'S where the real money is and a lot of it.
Having said that, I just get the impression that many people just don't 'Get it' when it comes down to delivering content on the Internet. Now, I know and understand that content needs to be put up to generate traffic and we all need to build our blogs, our websites, our articles and so on...I really do.
So what's my point?
I'm glad you asked and here it is: If you're going to teach something, give advice or pose to be an expert on a certain topic...it's fundamental that you're actually doing it too!
Believe me, if you want people to know you, like you and trust you to the point they line up with credit card in hand you've GOT to know this...and I know it's so BASIC yet it's so OVERLOOKED.
Hey, it can be tempting to play Einstein or 'Fake it 'till you make it' but it's superficial at best and people are intelligent...you're transparent whether you believe what you say or not so it's way better to actually be honest rather than to 'Look good'.
Now, some of you could be saying "That's all good, but HOW can I build my credibility and authority even though I'm not a 'Guru' yet? How?"
The answer is: LEARN it, DO it and then SHARE it. (In other words, practice what you preach!)
There is no faster way to 'Guru' status than that and if you're thinking about money...don't worry, the money WILL follow. If you take the above advice to heart, you'll be able to communicate, lead and sell way more effectively than NOT knowing what you're talking about...period.
This is possibly one of the simplest things you can do to become a successful person in business and in life, yet so many people don't do it.
