That's just the way I like to think of it: when a new means of performing a particular task (such as Web 2.0) comes along, it need not render older means (such as forums) obsolete. If a particular method has worked well for you in the past, and continues to do so, there's no reason for you to discard it simply because something new has come along. In many cases the old way and the new way can prove equally effective; you may find that one method will produce better results at certain times and under certain circumstances than the other, but you can only discover that for yourself by trying different methods and testing them continually.

My essential point is that you should make as much use as possible of whatever means you have at your disposal, and not dismiss something out of hand merely because it's old -- or new.
