Permalink Reply by gowriter on March 22, 2009 at 10:47am I am self employed, but as a small rancher I feel the squeeze from the economy. I can't compete with the large scale farms or ranches. I grew up on this ranch and back then we had 12 of us kids running around. Now I have 3 young girls and the books keep going to the red.
I talked with a friend in California about a week ago and his wife works for the state and had to take a pay cut. I seen on the news this morning that the state might cut a bunch of jobs. Thought I heard 20,000, but now thinking I wonder if it wasn't 2,000 jobs. 20,000 would be to big of a number.

Hi,
Sorry to hear this but there are so many people out of work right now,you are not alone. Here is something that may help you. There is so much that the government has to offer for people out of work. This was information I shared in NJ but there are links for all the states,I hope it helps.
New Jersey Energy Assistance Program:

their homes.

NJ FamilyCare
If you are NOT eligible for Medicaid because you fall
above the income requirements, you may be able to get
m****** benefits through NJ FamilyCare. NJ FamilyCare
is for families who do not have available or affordable
employer insurance, and cannot afford to pay the high
cost of private health insurance.

Centers for Primary Health Care (CPHC)
New Jersey’s Centers for Primary Health Care (CPHC) offer a wide range of health
care services for the entire family as well. You don’t need health insurance to get
care at a center. Centers serve the uninsured and underinsured, as well as patients
with Medicaid, Medicare and private insurance. If you’re uninsured, your bill will be
based on your ability to pay. No one is ever turned away for lack of funds.

The New Jersey Housing and Mortgage
Finance Agency promotes and builds affordable housing to create
low-cost rental opportunities. Many of these housing
developments as well as hundreds of other subsidized and market
rate units are listed on the New Jersey Housing Resource Center
which is updated every two weeks.
