I came across an interesting piece of lituature earlier today. I can't help but to share it with you all and view your responses.
Picture this:
It's a stormy March night, at a crowded train station, in 1865. A large crowd of people are waiting near the tracks at the platform. After returning from his Hamlet performance in New York's Winter Garden Theatre, a Distinguished Actor waited for the next train to Philadelphia. He was on his way to visit his sister. Well, as he joins the crowd's pushing and shoving, he notices a young college student out of the corner of his eye. Then suddenly the boy was josseld violently and pushed towards the edge of the platform. Struggling to keep his footing, he loses his balance and falls onto the tracks, between the two cars. When the actor tries to alert the engineer, he realizes it's to noisy and the train has slowly begun to move. So quickly, the actor rushes to the edge of the platform, reaches down, and with all of his might, pulls the young college student to saftey. After the train pulls away there was a quiet moment. At this time the actor and the student introduce themselves. The actor turns out to be the brother of another actor - one who would soon become EXTREMELY famous. And the college student turns out to be the son of a prominent American politician. Ironically, in less that 3 weeks time, the actor's brother would KILL the college student's father... For the actor was Edwin Booth - Brother of John Wilkes Booth, and the college student was Robert Lincoln - son of President Abraham Lincoln.
It's crazy how weird things can work out sometimes. What do you think?
If You have a weird story, share it.
