With all due respect, it could be that your site is boring. The information provided is flawless? The sales pitch is excellent too? You have to keep in mind that the average American is a lazy beast. They could be in desperate NEED of your product, but if they see too many words and not enough "eye candy," they'll be intimidated by the task of actually reading and you will continue to lose customers. They need a little insentive in order to WANT to read your material. For example, pictures catch the attention very well. A well placed & well chosen picture will leave the reader WANTING to know what the picture is pretaining to. Videos are awesome to have too. You can use a video for just about anything- testimonials, ads, homemade commercials *fun*, explanations, or even to show a sample of the product. You can also try having some soft music playing in the background. My personal favorite, which is also my most successful, is simply narrating exactly what is written on each page. I know it sounds elementary, but it WILL give you the results you want. If you lighten the work load, the consumer will open thier wallets.

Another thing to keep in mind is perception. The way your text is displayed is everything. The structure of your paragraphs can do a horrible disservice to your business too. You should divide you paragraphs up into smaller portions. It fools the mind into thinking that the task at hand isn't as large as it seems. Personally, I like to put a small picture with each portion of paragraph. It really keeps my readers hooked.

Hope I was Helpful.

You make some good points, especially posting
in forums. Shorten your sentences and divide up
your paragraphs, it will look much easier to read.

They say if you have to move the eye to far to
finish the sentence it is harder to pick up the next
line down. Break it up and fool the mind into thinking
it is only a brief reply or discussion.

Keep your text condensed into smaller paragraphs
and you will entice more readers. Keep on smil'n!
