" Born and raised in rural Dyer Tennessee, I grew up in a small town, where I was deeply influenced by my Papa’s entrepreneurial spirit and drive that he and my Granny instilled in me that I could be or do anything I wanted to be. In 1995 I opened my very first Business “Blessings Pre-School this was such a rewarding career.

I loved the kids. That same year, I was diagnosed with a tumor and had to have immediate surgery. I went into have the surgery only to find that GOD had healed me and to this day I have been tumor free ever since.

The Gratitude Jar
Family stared a tradition called the Gratitude Jar, this was a very special jar this was a jar where we would place one thing that we were grateful for and someone would read it aloud that is and was one of my most fondest traditions. I went on to having great success we had a waiting list I got to work with my best friend my Granny our kids got to experience the love of a Granny. “The best love GOD ever put on this earth you could say my life was pretty much perfect. I became pregnant with my second child in 1999 shortly thereafter my perfect life would be changed forever;

I was faced with a divorce, now I had a 4 year old and one on the way… I did not know how we could pay all of our bills on my income...I telling you all of this to prove that no matter where you are in your journey you can overcome it and move mountains that year I was introduced to my very first Network Marketing Company. I sold my Pre-School and began my next journey. I excelled in the company I made eight thousand dollars my very first two weeks. I made life changing income for a few years I had over fifty thousand in my down line everything was going great I signed a five year non-compete was on the Advisory Board then practically overnight my residual income dropped.

The Gratitude Candle Company“A dream and a Prayer”
S"S o when I founded The Gratitude Candle Company on what I call “a dream and a prayer.” We became an instant success with our signature bows and moms favorite cookie Jar turned into a fabulous 64 oz. candle. We are a debt free company. Now four years later we are launching The Power of 31 the marketing arm for the Gratitude Candle Company which is a dynamic direct sales business that has revolutionized opportunities for customers to become their own boss as independent Sharing Gratitude Advisors while never putting all their eggs in one basket having multiple streams of income.

I believe everyone has the capacity to shine – it just takes the right spark to stir that fire. For me that was starting my own Luxury candle company. I was fortunate to have an enterprising Papa as well as a Granny who modeled strength and abundance with Christian upbringing. To be honest, though, for much of my early life I struggled with feelings of inadequacy until I came to live with my Granny and Papa… they were the catalyst that helped me change my thoughts — and most importantly, my actions to be all that God called me to be.

T here are so many factors that influence whether a business succeeds or fails – and I’m not too proud to say I’ve been enormously blessed.
I do think the fear of failure – and the fear of success
This stops a lot of people from taking action or committing fully to the goals they’ve set for themselves. It all starts with your story your why? It’s hard to let go of what we know and step into the out of the box thinking. I’ve become a HUGE believer in setting and writing down goals. The mind really does move toward its focus – so it’s crucial to stay focused on what you want! And finally, I know that no one becomes successful all by him- or herself. Great things happen through teams, not individuals. Surround yourself with positive people who share your vision so you can support and lift each other up. If I can do it than anyone can your why just has to be HUGE!!! My why was my Children what is yours?

The Next Level
T ve had to learn to fall in love with change – and recognize that even the clearest vision may need tweaking from time to time. I’ve had several occasions when I felt very strongly that something was RIGHT – until someone else’s fresh perspective gave me new insight. I thank GOD for my business partner Mr. Cornell Jones and his insight. For example; I LOVED the simple sophistication of our original packaging, with pink, white and black bows, and resisted the suggestion to add a neutral color. I finally gave in to our new motto we’re wild about giving caring and sharing” … and our packaging has never looked more beautiful and enticing with our upscale Safari Print Bows... Our transition to no-inventory and selling just one luxury candle melt at a time to get your senses going , complemented by direct-to-client shipping, has taken us to a new level in our ability to offer hosts and customers more of what they love, and made it even simpler for our customers who become consultants to manage their businesses. Win-win and now our scholarship program have me very excited that our kids can get their collage paid for one candle at a time! was my Children what is yours?"
