Is your business the one that I am looking for?

In today's economy many people don't have a lot of extra money just sitting around. Many people are losing their jobs and want to start a home based business, but being out of work makes it even harder to get going. A lot of people jumped on the 'Narc that car' opportunity, I believe in part because it had low start up cost and no monthly maintenance if you chose not to get the website.

I am looking for an opportunity like this that I can offer to people in this situation. The only other criteria would be that it can not be in pre launch and have enough history that I can get a BBB report and know that the practices are solid.

Does this describe your business or do you know of one that fits this description?

Hi Jeff and Sharon,

I so often hear people looking for opportunities that won't cost them a penny to start--and I totally get it that these are difficult financial times for far too many people. The problem is, I NEVER hear of people actually making a living with those no cost "opportunities." I think there is a real danger--and missed opportunity--in writing off the companies that do have some kind of start-up cost and/or monthly maintenance fee. The better questions might be (ARE, imho...) What do I get for the money? Is there a refund policy if I change my mind?, and how likely is it that my earnings in this opportunity will cover and exceed the fees and make it possible for me to generate profits and improve my overall financial situation?

Getting into a no-cost business start up that also makes no money makes no sense. In fact, most people find that there are hidden costs after the start up and they end up spending money without any real chance of making the kind of money that will turn into profit.

I talk with many people each week and actually screen out those who are stuck in the mindset that any kind of business expense is a bad thing. Business expense--in a real business--is the heart of what makes the opportunity work--or not. The trick is to have an excellent model, good leadership to follow, a high quality compensation plan, and dreams that are not limited by present limiting circumstances. With those things in place, the smart entrepreneur can figure out how to deal with the budget constraints. The non-entrepreneur will never figure that out.

Probably the best bet for these folks is simply to stick with a traditional job search; it takes a different way of thinking to succeed in the high stakes world of online entrepreneurship. it is not for everyone, but is a GREAT way to go, for those who can see more and find their way around the obstacles--one step at a time.

I'm heartened to see others, like you two, who genuinely care about and want to give good guidance to those who are struggling financially. I am all about that too.

I love the concept, but I am going to have to think on those prices for a while.

Here is a tip for you, when I have a company replicated website, I always get my own url and it mask it. What I mean by that is you get to my website by typring in http://www.ItMakesLifeBetter.com, but the true address is something totally different. That way it is easier for people to remember among other benefits.

Also, you can add somewhere in the ragne of 100 subdomains that are almost as easy to remember. These are just a few of my subdomains.
