Am I being scammed?
In January 2010 some businesses have reported receiving have been receiving faxes from supposedly the offices of YellowPage – Alberta.com. The fax offers a “free submission to google” and has your listing information for you to confirm. This is fraudulent solicitation. This was not sent by Yellow Pages nor Google.

Canada now has employment insurance for self-employed
Starting January 2011, self-employed Canadians will be able to claim and receive Employment Insurance (EI) special benefits. This is not a benefit for a lack of work such as being laid-off or fired as this would not apply to a self-employed person.
