- About Me (We read this!):
- My background is in HR but I found myself in business for myself 6 years ago after recovering from a serious hip operation which had previously seen me in a wheelchair. I looked on the internet to see if there was anything I could do from home if my operation wasn't successful (thank God it was!) and I became most disheartened when I saw so many opportunities which apparently offered 6-figure incomes for apparently doing nothing! I came across Herbalife in March 2003 and my first thought was, this is not something I could see myself doing - I'd never sold anything in my life - but as I was severely overweight I thought I'd sign up to become a wholesale customer to try the products. The rest is history really. I went on to lose 4stones but as importantly, kept the weight off for the first time ever, lost 4 dress sizes, 1.5 sizes in my shoes and felt absolutely fantastic. That prompted me to take a serious look at the business, albeit initially, part-time. I absolutely love what I do now and last year finally bit the bullet and decided that when my contract finished I never wanted to work for another company again; never wanted to have to make anyone redundant again and I never wanted to be made redundant again!
- Activities:
- I have a 60 second commute to my office each day. I choose my hours, who I work with, where I work and how I work. I have visited practically every major European city with Herbalife over the past 6 years, the highlight being attending the 25th Anniversary of Herbalife in Atlanta, USA. Entertained personally by Sir Elton John was pretty exciting. Here in the UK we are about to celebrate our own 25th Anniversary in Manchester (not quite as alluring as Atlanta but I'm sure it will be just as fantastic)!
