- MATT JONES wanted to make a difference in the lives of troubled youth,to share the experiences that led him to success in athletics,entrepreneurship,and music. He wanted to serve as mentor and role model and to support parents in developing a solid relationship with their children.To this end,Matt Jones Foundation was formed in 1993. It was cerified by the State of Connecticut in 1994,and received 501(C)3 status from the Federal Government in 1995. The Foundation works with young people who are considered "at risk": those who suffer from lack of discipllne and self control,negative attitudes,poor academic performance,low self esteem,and hyperactivity. Participants come from all over Fairfield County and reflect the area's ethnic and economic diversity.

- To reach out to youth on a one-to-one basis,empowering them to become productive,d***-free leaders,who will make positive contributions to society.

- Professor Matt Jones,founder and owner of The Matt Jones Sport Karate Institute and The Matt Jones-Robert Jenkins Foundation,Inc. Inducted into the World Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 1995 and The World of Karate Union Hall of Fame in 1996. Matt Jones'continued attributes to the community are extraordinary, Not only is Professor Jones a mentor to the youth,he is also their best friend and he projects a positive image to tomorrow's adults.

Sometimes something great is right before our eyes, but for whatever reason, we just don't see it. Once I took a look at this amazing business I was in right away.You don't find very many of these around today.
