- About Me (We read this!):
- I have always been interested in what makes people who they are. This interest has focused both my professional career and helped shape many of my personal activities.
Perhaps starting out as a professor in Communication and Psychology at UConn and USC in LA led me into a huge mentoring role in just about every position I have held.
Even throughout my corporate positions ending up as VP of Strategic Marketing for Fidelity Investments I enjoyed helping people achieve their goals -- helping them become successful in whatever they did or helping people overcome obstacles.
For the last 15 years or so I have had my own consulting practice working with large national and international coororations to help them understand their consumer segments and building marketing strategies.
I am now semi-retired but became intrigued with an exciting new company called PeopleString. It's fun, free and making me money.
- Activities:
- In my personal life, I suppose my biggest activity is volunteer work with teens and young adults (actually people of any age) who are struggling with some sort of dysfunctional family issue. (One of my daughters is a very well respected therapist here on Cape Cod and she works with kids from these kinds of families professionally).
- Interests:
- In additon to my various activities above, living on Cape Cod, I salt water fly fish, bike the numerous biking trails with kids and grandkids, and kayak. My son and I used to hike sections of the Appalacian trail until my knees gave out and he started a family.

It's a up and coming social network site like Facebook but unlike other sites or search engines, PeopleString actually pays you to use it. I like it because it's free to join so anyone can ge in and make money. I get a kick of asking almost anyone if they're on the internet. They almost always say they are. I then ask them if they get paid for it and, of course they always say No. I simply say "Mine does." and stop talking. They ALWAYS ask me to explain :)
