- I am a Neuromuscular Therapist with a private practice in Jacksonville, FL. I also have travelled on the PGA Tour with some professional golfers. Therefore, I have a variety of clientele from the very fit to the very ill. I specialize in the alleviation of chronic pain and the correction of dysfunctional biomechanics. In my practice I have been truly Blessed with an ability to help people heal. One of the things I do is help people understand how they can improve their home health so that they can positively affect their healing process.
I was born in Aberdeen, Scotland, raised on the Jersey Shore, and lived up and down the East Coast of the US and even in Hong Kong. I have witnessed and learned from many cultures that there can be non-traditional answers to life’s issues and that you should review all options before making decisions, especially those that pertain to your health.
I lost my father and pop-pop to cancer when I was 13 and 15. I wanted to help other people and their families not suffer. So, I majored Pre-Med/Biochem at UMASS Amherst. It quickly became apparent to me that Western medicine mindset was to treat AFTER someone had become ill rather than finding a way to prevent the disease from happening in the first place. Dissatisfied, I got a job in Boston and went to Harvard at night, studying Linguistics and World Religions.
Through experience, time, and training I built my neuromuscular therapy practice. I was very happy with my life, career, and practice, just as it was. Little did I know that it could get so much better by having an understanding of how key nutrition is to good health. From my personal experience, I decided that I had to share this with others. I want to advocate a healthier lifestyle to possibly prevent those debilitating illnesses and diseases, especially in the world where there are so many like me who did not even know where to turn to get that healthier lifestyle. And I am talking about things that will easily fit any routine. This still absolutely amazes me!
