My name is Monique Scheuven and I am 45 years old.
I live in the south of the netherlands near the german and belgium border.
The languages that I speak are dutch, english, german.
I study for nurse and have pediatric degreeyhe.
I love to travel and my favorite country is the Dominican Republic where I also have a foster child Joel.
Through the http://wimpypuntacana.hyves.nl I try to bring people together and that they can share there experience with each other.
Also is this a way to make it possible that we can bring clothes and orther needs in this poor area.
I am a very social person and enjoy to be together and share friendship with orthers.

A lot chanced the last few years in my live. I met people in models and acting network. They told its was something for me and I had to go for it.
So I started and a world went open for me. I notist that I had more in me than I thought and I grow in my self esteem and as personality.
I hope that I grow and learn more through this mrs globe netherlands competition.
I like to go in marketing or sales business in the future.

FINALS MRS GLOBE BELGIUM 2010
On the 20th of june we went with a delegation of finalists mrs globe netherlands and photographers from Amersfoort to Antwerp where we where invited to the mrs globe Belgium 2010 finals event.
At once when we arrived in the big hall of the Queen Elisabeth congress, we got a warm welcome from the organisation, photographers and guests.
Many photoshots where taken to put also the finalists of mrs globe Netherlands in the spotlight.
We witnessed a great organisation and performance on stage with all the 40 finalists of mrs globe Belgium 2010.
A great atmosphere of joy, love and sharing one could feel.
At the end mrs globe Belgium 2010 was chosen.
We got the opportunity to congratulate her personally on stage.
After the show we all enjoyed the afterparty with many guests, mrs globes, family and sponsors.
It was a great experience and an unforgettable day for me...a shining day.
MEETING WITH MR.MATT LAMB 22-6 IN HILTON INT. AT SCHIPHOL
I had the honour to meet mr. Matt Lamb and Mrs. Sheila Lamb-Gabler at the Hilton Int. at Schiphol.
His artwork is famous and admired in many museums around the world.
At a certain age Matt Lamb realised he had to change his way of living and he started the "umbrella of peace foundation". Now Matt Lamb travels over the world to tell his story and to inspire people with his message of peace.
He tried to create a network around the world. Together we accomplish more.
At the meeting mr. Matt Lamb and his daughter Sheila donated one million euro of artwork to Lakma, the Latin American museum in Amersfoort to thank the mrs globe organisation for their distribution to the "umbrella of peace foundation".
Saterday June 26 I will be able to create my own umbrella of peace on the trainingday in Amersfoort.
I learned from him that you can accomplish anything. Its only your own responsibilty when or where you start it.
TRAININGDAY June 26, AMERSOORT
On Saturday june 26, on this beautiful and warm day, I was very early on my way to Amersfoort for the trainingday that was organised by the Mrs globe organisation.
It was lovely to see all the ladies again and to meet the new ones that I didnt meet before.
The first part of the day was an introduction of the programme until the finals September 26, 2010.
The organisation hopes that they can organise it in studio 21 in Hilversum.
The entrance and stage are really great. Beautiful location with lot of glamorous and luxury effluvium.
There will be ambassadors, politicians, Dutch celebrities, sponsors and families at this event.
The final 40 finalists will be painted by an artist and these paintings will be presented at the entrance of this beautiful location.
At the trainingday I told before the group about the meeting with mr Matt Lamb.
I was very emotional when I started talking about the teenagemothers and their living conditions in the Dominican republic.
After a delicious lunch we went outside for our own umbrella of peace project.
With a lot of enthusiasm we created with other ladies our own umbrella.
Great feeling, all this creativity for a good course.
After a drink we went in sportswear to the gym where a personal trainer gave us instructions about food and how to keep us in shape.
We had to dress quickly for the photoshoot, because we were running out of time.
The Pelicaan health and racket club would close at 6 pm.
We came afterwards together outside the Pelikaan health club and made a couple of group photos with all the umbrellas we made.
I enjoyed the whole day and went satisfied on my way home.

On the airport I met dr. Eugenio Matos, minister counselor of the embassy of the Dominican Republic in The Hague.
Owing to my commitment with the Dominican republic it was an honour for me to accompany him to The Hague.
On the way the problems of the Dominican republic were discussed like teener-pregnancies, bad hygienic conditions, corruption and poverty.
Mr. Matos acknowledged the problems of the Dominican republic of which he was full aware.
I indicated to him that I would like to set up small projects for these problems.
He would gladly help me with it.
He explained to me this work as minister counselor at the embassy.
All in all it was a very succesful day from which sure a good cooperation came.
In the days that followed I thought about bringing the Umbrella of Peace-project to the Dominican Republic.
I have already contacted many people there.
Owing to the holidays more concrete plans will be made after august 15.
I also had a meeting again with dr. Eugenio Matos at the embassy of the Dominican republic.
The Umbrella of peace project was discussed and mr. Matos had also ideas how he could be active in the project.

He had put movies on youtube about the Philippines and the aid to children. My curiosity was aroused and soon I became a member of http://lets-share.ning.com and www.ltshr.com

Eric was very enthousiastic and liked to participate.
Zo contact was made beween Sheilla lamb and the organisation in the Philippines.
It is great this cooperation.
It is still in the beginning-ohase but Eric is going to work on it and will keep me posted of the projected, on which we are working together.
